Weather & Kit update

With the weather forecasters predicting a hot day on the trails, please our updated kit requirements below.

Mandatory items (to be carried at all times)

  • Fully charged mobile phone (with emergency number saved - 07874 947339)
  • Refillable water/hydration system (min 0.5 litre, preferably 1L)
  • Additional layer that can cover your shoulders and arms
  • Basic first aid kit (plasters, antiseptic wipes, foil blanket)
  • Headwear (cap/buff/hat)
  • £20 cash & payment card
  • Face covering
  • Route map (provided at registration)

Trail shoes are not mandatory and you may wear road shoes if you are confident running on firm off-road terrain in them.

Recommended items

  • Sun screen
  • Sunglasses
  • Re-usable cup (for coke/electrolyte drink at checkpoints)
  • Access to the route map via a navigation app, such as OS Maps or ViewRanger - Click here
